Industry body Grain SA has appointed Dr Pieter Taljaard its new CEO. He will succeed Jannie de Villiers from 1 September. Grain SA says Taljaard brings a wealth of grain and farming economics expertise to this role, having served in a number of senior leadership positions over the past years.
He is currently the cereals and industrial crops market strategy lead at Bayer Crop Science. The appointment of a new CEO follows a thorough recruitment process that was undertaken by The Talent Connection and overseen by a special committee.
