The United Nations Environment program has been the global authority that sets the environmental agenda since its inception in 1972. Their projects are promoted in several thematic areas such as climate change, ecosystem management, environmental governance, and resource efficiency. In our program of 10 February Erika van den Heever of the ARC Vegetables, Industrial and Medicinal Plants Campus tells us more about a program that is funded by the UNEP in the Mount Fletcher area in the Eastern Cape Province. This program includes programs teaching the young to plant vegetables and how technology can be used in farming in rural areas.

Lize Westwood, Marketing Manager of Speck Pumps SA talks about the development and production of pumps and filters for agriculture purposes. These pumps and filters are subject or high-quality standards. She also explains how a farmer can ensure the best circulation and filtration for his farming enterprise.

Suzanne Oosthuizen, Managing Director of Undercover Farming has information on their upcoming Expo and Conference that will be held on 15 and 16 March at the CSIR Convention Centre in Pretoria.
