Regenerative agriculture is a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems and this approach focuses on aspects such as increasing biodiversity, the regeneration of topsoil and it aims to enhance ecosystem services.  In our program of 7 March, Dr Hendrik Smith of Asset Research explains the impact of carbon sequestration.

Rens Smit, Research Technician from the Department of Agriculture at the Langgewens Research farm, talks about the projects that are conducted and the results of these tests. They strive to use less inputs regarding pesticides etc and still make a profit.

Danie Slabbert, Regenerative farmer talks about the 5 principles of soil health and explains how he combats soil compaction using various agricultural practises.
