Mr Pandurang Taware, Managing Director of the Agritourism Development Corporation and World Agritourism Day, notified Jacqui Taylor, Founder of Agritourism South Africa, that the Company had won the World Agritourism 2021 Award for introducing Agritourism into Africa, thereby assisting in the development of Sustainable Entrepreneurship Opportunities on the continent.
“After seeing your contribution to the development of the Agritourism sector in Africa, the Judging Committee, selected Agritourism South Africa as the recipient of the Award,” said Mr Taware.
Jacqui Taylor, CEO of Agritourism South Africa received the award on behalf of her team, “I would like to thank the Committee for the acknowledgement of the role Agritourism South Africa has made in assisting farmers and rural communities to embrace Agritourism as a Rural Development Initiative. We have a very dedicated team who work very long hours to assist in the development of entrepreneurial Agritourism opportunities on the continent. Thank you also to the farmers, farm workers and to our supporters. Truly, your ongoing encouragement and gratitude are appreciated by the team”.
