Reproduction is one of the most important traits in livestock farming. Reproductive performance is measured by several parameters. The biggest mistake that a farmer can make is by keeping a ram in the flock on its outward appearance. The result is that its progeny will be unproductive and keeping unproductive ewes decrease the breeding potential of the flock as well as the cost that is associated with this system.
